Glow Countdown

This Privacy Policy explains how Glow Countdown ("Glow Countdown," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the Glow Countdown mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the App and the features you choose to use.

a. Account information (if you create an account)

If you sign up or sign in, we collect:

Your email address
Your display name (if provided, e.g. via Sign in with Apple or Google)
A unique account identifier

You can sign in with email + password, Sign in with Apple, or Google Sign-In. Authentication is handled by our backend provider, Supabase.

b. Your content

Data you create in the App, including:

The event you're counting down to (name, date, type/emoji)
Your habits and daily habit check-ins / completions
Your appointments / milestones (titles, dates, notes, reminder settings)
Streaks and app preferences (such as theme)

This content is stored on your device. If you are signed in, it is also synced to our cloud database (Supabase) so you can access it across sessions and devices.

c. Subscription information

If you purchase Glow Pro, your payment is processed by Apple's App Store. Your subscription status is managed through RevenueCat. We do not receive or store your payment card details. We may receive your subscription status (active/expired) and a non-payment transaction identifier.

d. Device permissions (only if you grant them)

Notifications — used to send you local reminders for your habits and appointments. You control this in your device settings.
Calendar — if you allow it, the App can add your event and appointments to your device's calendar. This information stays on your device under your control.

e. Information stored locally

The App caches your data locally on your device so it works smoothly and offline.

2. What We Do Not Do

We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not show third-party advertising in the App.
We do not use your data for third-party ad targeting.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide core features (countdowns, habit tracking, streaks, reminders, cloud sync)
Authenticate you and keep your account secure
Manage your Glow Pro subscription
Send reminders you've enabled
Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the App
Respond to your support requests

4. How Your Information Is Shared

We share information only with service providers that help us operate the App:

These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and privacy policies. We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users.

5. Data Retention

We keep your account and content for as long as your account is active. You can delete your data at any time (see Section 6). When you delete your account or data, we remove it from our active systems; residual copies in backups are deleted on our regular backup cycle.

6. Your Choices and Rights

Access / update: You can view and edit your content directly in the App.
Delete local data: Use Profile → Reset to erase your event, habits, and progress on your device.
Delete your account and cloud data: Email glowcountdown@gmail.com and we will delete your account and associated data.
Permissions: You can turn Notifications and Calendar access on or off anytime in your device Settings.
Subscriptions: Manage or cancel Glow Pro anytime in your App Store account settings.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights (such as access, correction, deletion, or portability). To exercise them, contact us.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including encrypted connections and access controls provided by our infrastructure partners. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

Glow Countdown is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International Users

Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than your own, where data-protection laws may differ. By using the App, you consent to this transfer and processing.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date above and, for significant changes, provide notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
